AutoStore, an internationally operating technology company specializing in fulfillment innovations, has surpassed the milestone of **1,100 installations** in the EMEA region. To further promote growth and enhance the experiences of customers and partners, a new regional operating model will be introduced.
Fulfillment on an EMEA Scale
In the EMEA region, AutoStore continues to experience strong growth as the demand for high-performance automation remains consistently high. Currently, there are **931 active systems** in **35 countries**, serving various industries such as retail, e-commerce, healthcare, and manufacturing. Additionally, **172 systems** are set to be installed.
In recent years, **322 new systems** have been added in the EMEA region, underscoring ongoing investments in scalable and future-proof automation solutions.
Current figures for AutoStore systems in the EMEA region:
– **34,301 robots**
– **33.7 million bins**
– **8,659 ports**
The systems require an average of only **27 seconds** to retrieve bins and can fulfill urgent orders in less than **four minutes**. This technology enables companies to optimize their operations, reduce storage space, and improve the work environment while maintaining high reliability and performance.
New Leadership for a New Chapter
To lead the next phase in the EMEA region, **Frode S. Robberstad** has been appointed President of EMEA. Robberstad has been with AutoStore since its inception and was the first to operate an AutoStore system in a live environment in 2002. Since 2017, he has played a key role in building the partner network and commercial presence in the region.
This year also marks the **20th anniversary** of the first AutoStore system operated by Element Logic. This early collaboration laid the foundation for a new era of warehouse automation based on modularity, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Eir Bjørkly, CEO EMEA at Element Logic, commented: *“From the very beginning, we recognized the groundbreaking potential of AutoStore technology. Two decades later, it remains one of the most innovative and reliable automation solutions on the market.”*
Robberstad emphasizes: *“At AutoStore, it has always been about solving challenges through intelligent, scalable automation. In this new chapter, it’s about speed, proximity, and accountability.”*
A Look into the Future: Strong Regional Operating Model
Starting from **May 1, 2025**, the EMEA trade organization will consolidate the departments of Partner Sales, Solution Consulting, Business Development, Consulting Sales, Customer Success, Regional Marketing Execution, and Technical Account Management under a regional leadership team. This new structure will enable AutoStore to respond quickly, collaborate intensively, and provide a seamless experience throughout the entire customer journey.
By combining the expertise of AutoStore and its partners, derived from collaboration with over **1,200 customers** at **1,650 locations** worldwide, the company is better equipped to tackle complex challenges, accelerate automation initiatives, and achieve measurable ROI.
The AutoStore system is designed for **durability**, which is a central aspect of its sustainability approach. Many of the first systems in the EMEA region are still operating at peak performance today, demonstrating that high-performance warehouse automation can create value over decades.
At the heart of this transformation is the **AutoStore Community**, a global network of customers, integration partners, employees, and technology partners. By strengthening local teams and closely collaborating with the ecosystem, AutoStore is laying the groundwork for a new phase of regional growth based on stronger relationships, faster implementation, and shared success.
